Just like in the Caribbean. In 1981 in Castiglione della Pescaia, Roberto opened the Yacht Bar. Thirty years have passed and the place is undoubtedly, today, an established and well-loved venue. Walking along the canal we too want to experience an exotic and inspiring moment, in an enchanting place whose only mission is to make us feel good.
A classic yet fashionable enough that is the Yacht Bar in Castiglione della Pescaia, a place that certainly does not need any introduction. Roberto’s passion also engaged his son Giampaolo who has committed himself with strength and dedication to the business. Over the years, in fact, the restaurant has kept its old enthusiasm high but still kept up with the times.
In 2017 the tobacconist service was added and – in addition to other generally available lines – some special and much sought-after products are on offer to customers: such as the famous Cuban and Tuscan cigars. Giampaolo has also renovated the interior of the restaurant, making the environment even more fun and inclusive. With tireless dedication, he continues to invest all his energies to transform his ‘baby’ in a thousand different ways with new and happy ideas. Kaleidoscopic.
More than ever nowadays the Yacht Bar offers a wide assortment of wines selected to satisfy its diverse clientele. You can taste over one hundred types of wine, Italian and international, such as – ça va sans dire – the iconic Masseto, Roccapesta, Guado del Tasso and Siepi labels
Furthermore, our passionate manager boasts a refined selection of marvellous Champagnes. For some time in fact the restaurant has enjoyed a very exclusive cellar, in which it keeps, like treasure, renowned wines from all over the world. Going down the fascinating staircase of the Yacht Bar ‘Cantina’ you will suddenly face a prestigious wine collection, initially created for pure passion and then finally located here to be preserved and exposed to the public.
The Yacht Bar also offers spectacular cocktails with fresh fruit, exceptional Mojitos and Gin and Tonic, all served by highly trained staff.
We can therefore say, without any doubt, that this place is truly one of a kind: from a simple coffee to an informal (and with a view) schiaccina for breakfast – to a classy drink for an important evening. It is a place to meet with friends to happily chat, perhaps with a special beer in front of you, and take in spectacular sunsets sloping down to the sea.
Giampaolo, proud of his unique and original project, tells us with a smile: “The Yacht Bar is a place where you can simply drink a Spumante rather than Champagne by the glass”.
