The Casentino C3 Creative Centre was founded in July 2014 by Annalisa Baracchi and her daughter Giulia who made their family home available to create a space for the Association’s activities.

 

 

The Centre is structured as an educational environment and a training space open to people of all ages, from different backgrounds and cultures. It’s a place to develop one’s sociability and exercise one’s creativity, participating in the proposed activities and enjoying this meeting place every day.The activities are very diverse in order to satisfy all different interests and needs, both for young and elderly people with whom the centre also collaborates through an active generational exchange.

The events that have been organised over the years range from the fields of art, to the sharing of knowledge and communication. Numerous book presentations and meetings with the authors have taken place at the centre, as well as weekly projections of auteur films in English, concerts and meetings between the various associations of the valley, scientific and cultural conferences on various aspects of medicine, sociology, psychology , nutrition and cooperation with The Rotary Club, The Lions Club, Fidapa, UNIEL etc. The centre is the institutional headquarters of the Municipality of Bibbiena for weddings, various events, the “woman” project and other cultural and social initiatives.

The Courses that are held at the Centre are of particular importance foreign courses: Languages ​​(English, Spanish, German, French, Japanese and Russian), Music, Sewing, Yoga and painting classes, Floral Decoration, Restoration Techniques, Calligraphy, Origami courses, Pottery, course for referees and many others.

C3 has study rooms, which are often used by university students, and coworking spaces, following a business model which is already widespread globally and consists of sharing the same work environment while maintaining an independent activity. In fact, there are engineering firms and psychologist studios that cooperate in the creation of joint events with all the other activities of C3.

The Casentino Creative Center is also home to the Emma Perodi Literary Park and the Casentinesi Forests, affiliated to the network of ITALIAN LITERARY PARKS, which was created in July 2018 from an idea of ​​Prof. Alberta Piroci, the scientific manager of the Center and the Emma Perodi Literary Park who has brought together the National Park of the Casentinesi Forests Monte Falterona and Campigna, with the main municipalities of the Casentinese valley, such as Bibbiena, Chiusi della Verna, Poppi, Pratovecchio Stia, Ortignano Raggiolo and Castel San Niccolò.

From the synergy of with the participating municipalities and the National Park, the “Literary Paths In the Park” project came to life, Emma’s work help us to interpret a land full of traditions and environmental, historical and artistic resources, where the places in the stories overlap with the most famous hiking trails in the valley, we can find the ​​”literary benches” that are witnesses to the land itself.

The Casentino Creative Centre hosts the Infopoint desk of the Eurodesk Antenna of the Municipality of Bibbiena, which is an information point for young people who want to take advantage of the many opportunities offered by the programs and initiatives which are promoted by the European Union in their favour. Being part of the Eurodesk Network, the Bibbiena Antenna has access to many databases and the European Intranet and takes advantage of the cooperation between hundreds of local information points (more than 1300 throughout Europe!) This allows a rapid exchange of information (new projects , partner researches, deadlines …) and a constant updating of new opportunities and initiatives.

 

 

The successful participation in Calls promoted by Banking Foundations such as the CRF Foundation and the MPS Foundation, as well as those promoted by the Tuscany Region, has brought interesting co-financing project and has allowed the centre to participate every year in the various editions of the Tuscan Festival, Tuscan New Year, Tuscan historical characters, as well as cooperating with Casentino schools to set up remedial courses, coding and stem, comics and electronic music courses.
