“That was the moment I understood I had chosen the right path,” recalls Yuri Menicalli.

FROM GARAGE TO SUCCESS
The company was founded in 2012 from a clear and meaningful vision: to respond to a genuine need within the local community.
“It started as a small workshop in a garage in San Giovanni Valdarno. There was something missing in the area, and I decided to create it.”
From those early days, the business has grown steadily, guided by trust, strong professional relationships and a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach.
Today, Ortopedia Menicalli counts four locations across the Valdarno area and the province of Arezzo, while preserving the same founding spirit: growing without ever losing the human connection.

The opening of the fourth location marks an important milestone – yet, for Yuri, it is simply part of a broader journey.
“Each step brings us closer to building a structured company, capable of extending our services to new territories.”
In a highly specialized field often shaped by long-standing traditions, starting from scratch required determination and courage.
“Building everything from the ground up in such a niche sector was definitely the greatest challenge.”

Today, the company is made up of 16–17 people across its four locations. A team that has grown steadily over the years, strengthened by the contribution of long-standing collaborators Riccardo and Valentina, who have been with the company for over a decade.“The team is our foundation. Alongside his entrepreneurial journey, Yuri Menicalli plays an active role within the local business community as President of the Valdarno Area for Confartigianato Imprese Arezzo and Vicepresident of the Youth Group.

“It’s my way of giving back. Valdarno has incredible potential, but we need stronger connections between businesses and institutions.”

“Traditional retail is changing. We need to bring our services beyond the store and closer to people.”
The future lies in advanced services and bespoke solutions.
“Custom-made orthopaedics and specialised workshops will become increasingly central, supported by new technologies.”

If asked to describe his work in a single word, Yuri chooses “chameleon.”
“It’s about adapting — to places, to people, to needs. I want to build a company with a strong method, but flexible enough to evolve with its environment.”
