Some People Inherit a Trade. Others Inherit a World. Moreno Panico, born in 1970, grew up surrounded by the smell of iron, motor oil, and artisanal creativity. It’s a world he continues to reinvent today with the same restless energy he had as a child. He is an entrepreneur and the driving force behind Panico Febo Motor Accessories and Panico Rent. He is a practical visionary. One of those who transform seemingly crazy ideas into objects, vehicles, and projects that actually work.

His story begins in 1968, when his parents started a street-vendor business selling car accessories. Those were the years of the Lambrettas, the Vespas, and the first great passions for two-wheeled vehicles, experienced as a symbol of freedom. Then, in 1981, came the big step: the opening of the shop in Montepennino, a small hamlet near Montefalco. It was there that little Moreno spent his childhood, practically growing up behind the counter, while his mother worked and his father ran the business. For him, that shop was never just a family business: it was his playground, his creative workshop, his school of life.
As a child, he took things apart, examined them, and fixed them. He had curious hands and a keen eye. He immediately paired his technical skills with a natural talent for aesthetics and customization. It wasn’t enough for him that something simply worked: it had to have character. It had to tell a story. When he bought his first motorcycle in 1992 – a Honda Shadow 600 – he finally understood what his language would be: the world of custom bikes. Not just motorcycling, but identity, personality, lifestyle. And in fact, just three years later, he visited the first edition of the Motor Bike Expo in Padua. He was blown away. From the second edition onward, he would bring his own booth, his ideas, and his brand.

For twelve consecutive years, Moreno became a recognizable and appreciated presence at one of the industry’s most important trade shows. Distinguishing features: almost obsessive technical precision and unconventional imagination, never mundane. But someone like him rarely stays in just one lane. In 1997, Febo Custom Collection was born: leather became an aesthetic expression as well as a functional one. High-end artisanal saddlery, motorcycle bags, duffel bags, custom accessories and, later on, limited-edition items even for wine shops, restaurants, tobacco shops, and fashion.
Everything is meticulously conceived, designed, and crafted throughout the entire production process. He creates the design, develops the patterns, personally selects the leathers, cuts, assembles, and sews. Each piece reflects his vision and obsession with detail. And it is only by stepping into his workshop that one truly understands the man. Rolls of leather lie there like canvases, ready to be transformed into something unique.
Old industrial sewing machines that seem to hold memories and craftsmanship. Custom helmets that look like they’ve stepped out of an underground graphic novel. Saddles transformed into extensions of the rider’s personality.
The result is a collection of accessories that are beautiful to look at but also extremely functional, where design and practicality coexist perfectly. For some particularly refined processes—such as certain edge finishes—he relies on specialized workshops, but the creative heart remains his own. And it is precisely this continuous pursuit of artisanal excellence that allows him to broaden his horizons. To see possibilities where others see ordinary objects. One example is a Piaggio “Ciao” transformed into a vintage multifunctional food truck. A sidecar equipped for events, aperitifs, street food, cocktails, and tastings. A project born almost as a joke—initially dedicated to arrosticini with the ironic name “Ciao Pecora Rent & Food”—and soon became a true traveling attraction. Highly sought-after even outside the region.
In short, a vehicle that perfectly reflects his way of thinking: creative, unconventional, surprising. Today, Moreno continues to devote himself to motorcycle customization, but in the meantime, he has once again expanded his business empire. Alongside the sale—including online—of motorcycle and car accessories, he has developed a rental service that seems straight out of a filmmaker’s imagination. His vast fleet includes ultra-luxury 8- and 9-seater vans, timeless Vespa scooters, Volkswagen Beetles, Minis, Smarts, Pandas, quads (even for children), fat e-bikes, scooters, box trucks for moving or construction work, and even highly original vintage mobile bars designed for events and gatherings.
An extremely versatile offering, available for both short- and long-term rentals—strictly without a driver—that stems from a very specific idea: to meet the diverse desires and needs of residents and tourists alike, offering not just a vehicle, but an experience to be savored. Because, as he says, “never think solely in terms of service.”
We think in terms of atmosphere, identity, and memory. The right car for a wedding, the perfect Vespa for exploring the Umbrian hills, the elegant van for a weekend with friends, the vintage vehicle capable of transforming an event into something truly memorable. Behind this constant expansion of ideas, a deeply familiar and authentic dimension remains intact. Moreno still retains the approach of someone who grew up in a workshop, learning that human relationships are just as valuable as the final product. Perhaps this is precisely the secret of his story: having succeeded in transforming a family tradition into a personal universe, without losing touch with his roots. In an era dominated by standardization, Moreno Panico continues instead to choose the more difficult path: that of identity and freedom. Whether it’s a handmade saddle, a custom motorcycle, a leather bag, or an unlikely sidecar transformed into a mobile cocktail bar, each of his creations embodies the same philosophy: to make unique what is meant to be ordinary. And perhaps this is the most accurate definition of “Custom Life.” Not a trade. Not a brand. But a way of being in the world.
