Benedetta, how would you describe the concept behind your Home Restaurant?
Bosco di Mezzo was born with the desire to be able to express my cuisine in a deliberately small and private dimension, which allows me to take care of every detail and every guest with all the attention that every experience with food should have.
What kind of cuisine do you offer and what makes your proposal unique?
My cuisine is mainly that of the Tuscan tradition, with careful and local research of raw materials. What makes my proposal unique is the possibility to completely customize the experience: from the menu, to the background music, to the flowers on the table, thus giving the concept of hospitality a sartorial value.
How do you manage the menu and what are the most popular dishes?
I change my menu proposal with the changing seasons and available raw materials. The most’ requested dishes are the ravioli with ricotta and spinach in winter, and ravioli with wild herbs in summer, both dressed with butter and lemon; the waffle with livers and my onion marmalade; and the chicken ‘alla cacciatora’ cooked at a low temperature. I also prepare schiacciata for each service, which, served fresh from the oven, is always very welcome.
What are the characteristics of the environment in which the dining experience takes place?
In winter, guests can enjoy the cozy atmosphere in front of the lit fireplace, while in summer they can have lunch or dinner outdoors in the loggia and garden surrounding the pool, fully immersing themselves in nature. In both cases there is only one table and one reservation at a time.
