A bridge between Tuscany and the Near East

17 August 20201 April 2022 Posted byChianti & Valdelsa

The cuisine at Al Ponte restaurant in Gaiole in Chianti expresses an irresistible koinè of Tuscan tradition with exoticism from the Near East. La Loggia del Chianti

16 August 20201 April 2022 Posted byChianti & Valdelsa

The Loggia del Chianti is truly a loggia in Chianti. The rosebush at the window says it all, it’s a rosebush at the window of a loggia in Chianti.   Patrizia Ermini and Michele Bianco welcome us to this large restaurant, with the familiarity and grace of those who welcome you into their own home. In Gordon Breckenridge’s atelier

16 August 20201 April 2022 Posted byChianti & Valdelsa

A family story done in pencil

15 August 20201 April 2022 Posted byChianti & Valdelsa

We are just outside the town of Radda in Chianti, in a beautiful space with a wonderful view where once there was ‘nothing’. The Lapis [pencil] joinery has been operating here for almost 50 years.   Young (almost 24) Giacomo Lapis is the first to meet us. He tells us that the company was founded […]

Wine and hospitality at beautiful Albola Castle

27 July 202031 March 2022 Posted byChianti & Valdelsa

“It is properly called Albola, a slope known for its vineyards, from which you may get the best wines of Chianti” notes Emanuele Repetti in 1841, in his Dizionario Fisico geografico del Granducato di Toscana.   We meet right here, among the highest hills of Chianti Classico, in a townlet that has its roots in […]

Founded in 2003, Valley Life is a group of glossy magazines, printed in both Italian and English, and located and distributed in various areas throughout central Italy.

Each magazine publishes contents of various kinds: articles on culture, history and art, opinion pieces, articles on fashion, lifestyle and health and well-being – as well as on food, accommodation and catering. Its contents have in fact been a topic of academic research because of their cultural value and stylistic quality.

The Valley Life magazines are created by a fabulous team of young journalists, designers and communication experts.
