By Giacomo Roggi
This last year for me has not only been a succession of exhibitions, transports, installations and travelling. It was the moment when I saw the sculpture of my father, Andrea Roggi, establish itself as a language capable of speaking to multiple generations and crossing borders that until recently seemed distant. We have built an intense path between Italy and Europe, with installations and solo shows that have given continuity to a message that is now recognizable: telling the story of life, energy, roots and the tension towards the future through works that dialogue deeply with places and people.

Of all the projects, the most important was undoubtedly Élan Vital in Paris: a vast journey, the result of months of preparation, international coordination, filming, complex transport and attention to every detail, from set-up to communication. Seeing Élan Vital take shape in the French capital was a defining moment: a project that not only expanded our presence but offered a powerful synthesis of Andrea’s poetics and the direction we are heading.
Florence with Humanitas deserves a special place in this journey. After the intensity of Élan Vital in Paris, Humanitas was the confirmation of a goal pursued for years: an exhibition that is not just an exhibition, but the point where my father’s vision found one of its most complete expressions. Presenting it in the Basilica of San Lorenzo, in a profound dialogue with the history and spirituality of Florence, marked one of the most significant moments of our journey.
Another fundamental step was the dialogue between our art and the world of international jewellery. The collaboration with Martin Katz gave birth to the Energy of Life series, presented in iconic places such as the Salone dei Cinquecento in Florence and the Scuola Grande di San Rocco in Venice. This year the work was also exhibited at the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris. The Tree of Life with the jewel-sphere is now more than a sculpture: it is a synthesis of technique, poetry and contemporary luxury.

We have also installed a new Tree of Life at the Sina Centurion Palace, overlooking the Grand Canal in Venice: a work of fluid movement, almost shaped by the wind, which dialogues with the water and the architecture in a natural and powerful way. Added to this are the works at Venice airport, which welcome travellers as a true calling card of our poetics.
A particularly significant chapter was the permanent installation of a work in Caserta, requested directly by Confindustria. A recognition that has honoured us and that has definitively rooted our presence in the Campania region, transforming the urban space.
Added to this is the creation and exhibition of the work dedicated to Vernaccia di San Gimignano. The sculpture represents the grape as a symbolic fruit, a dedication to wine understood as the oldest and most elegant drink in the world, celebrating a cultural heritage through a form capable of dialoguing with the landscape, with the memory of the territory and the Tuscan tradition.

At the same time, we have carried out a very busy calendar: Matera; Martina Franca, Cisternino and Locorotondo for the Valle d’Itria project; Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo with ‘Life!’; the Inclusion Week at Bocconi; L’Art au Sommet in Courchevel; and the Peace for All project with the installation of a work in South Korea. Every exhibition, every move and every set-up are now part of a system that grows without losing its artisan soul.
2025 opened with a project that is particularly significant to me: the collaboration with Montblanc. A tree with leaf-pages, presented at the Salone dei Tessuti on 15 January, combined sculpture and memory in a reflection on the value of knowledge and the continuity of the creative gesture.
Looking back at the year, I realize that every project – big or small – has contributed to strengthening our identity. The Source of Life, the Image, Time, the Tree of Life, the Energy of Life, the Flight of Knowledge and the Tree of Knowledge are not only the key themes of Andrea Roggi’s artistic research, but the very structure through which we interpret art: a symbolic language that combines matter, memory and vision.

2025 was a year of confirmations and, above all, of evolution. We have consolidated solid foundations and opened new paths. And the feeling is that we are only at the beginning. Beauty, for us, is not a goal: it is a continuous movement. And that’s where we’re going.
