Here is an Osteria where you can savor traditional cuisine in a modern, comfortable, and welcoming setting – born from the thirteen years of experience in the restaurant industry of Alessio and Walter. In 2011, the two cousins opened the Good Luck Bar Tavola Calda, located in a charming residential area of Castel del Piano on Mount Amiata. In 2024, they doubled their space, evolving and expanding their dining offer.

 

 

 

The Osteria

 

The modern and cozy atmosphere is ideal for any occasion, with the possibility in the summer months to dine outdoors in a beautiful green garden. Walter and Alessio bring their culinary philosophy to life, using quality ingredients from the local area and beyond.

The menu features cured meats, homemade fresh pasta, and a selection of premium meats. Among the appetizers, diners particularly appreciate the platter of local cured meats from traditional norcineria, free from colorings, flavor enhancers, and preservatives. Among the first courses, the hand-rolled pici with aglione sauce and the Maremma-style tortelli with butter and sage are the stars. As for the second courses, the undisputed king is the Chianina Florentine steak—an absolute must. On weekends, the kitchen often delights guests with off-menu specials.

 

 

Pizzeria

 

Osteria Le Cellane also broadens its offer with pizza al piatto.

The dough is soft yet crisp, with a tall rise thanks to long leavening, which makes it highly digestible. The pizzeria offers a wide menu with both classic pizzas and original creations. Examples include the Good Luck—named after the original venue—a white-base pizza with pistachio pesto, mortadella, and stracciatella, or the Castagnaccia, inspired by Amiata’s typical product: the chestnut. From Monday to Friday, pizza is also available at lunchtime.

 

Wine and Beer

 

A small but carefully curated wine cellar offers a selection of labels from Tuscany’s wine capitals such as Montalcino, Montecucco, Chianti, and Montepulciano, proudly at center stage. The selection is further enriched with excellent wines from other Italian regions, chosen from North to South. To pair with pizza, the Osteria also offers a wide variety of craft beers from local and non-local producers, with some rare gems for the area. In addition, a broad range of gluten-free beers is available to suit every taste.

 

Services

 

The Good Luck Bar Tavola Calda—the Osteria’s symbiotic sister and mother venue—offers not only quick lunches for workers but also a well-established take-away service. The spaces are perfectly suited for ceremonies such as baptisms, communions, confirmations, and birthdays. A place that welcomes guests of all ages. Among its many services are four screens for watching sporting events and cheering for your favorite team in good company. Adjacent to the venue, a large public park with recreational facilities for children makes it ideal for families with kids and pets.
